There was a robbery in me.
I didn't understand what was taken until I saw it coming back. It was returning as a new thing. Carried in the arms of soldiers.
And so He said forget the old and lose the pattern for He is working wonders for the robbed.
Tore up the script I thought I wrote, for those words were a web woven for me.
Only Love Himself can lead us out of a prison we've named self-protection. There is risk in restoration and broken hearts want to grow hard. But there is real danger in disillusionment.
He said "those who devoured you will be far away" (Isaiah 49:19). It is a promise and now I see it. A joy is returning and it's like meeting someone for the first time, yet you feel you've known them all your life.
I'm on the shore of a sea of snakes He's teaching me to tread on.
I'm learning to allow expectancy, I'm following the One Who's healing me.

"I was exiled and rejected. Who brought these up?
I was left all alone, but these- where have they come from?"
Isaiah 49:21
"The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet."
Romans 16:20
